Our Founder's Journey
Fleur-de-lis Form began not just as a business, but as the culmination of a lifelong devotion to wood. Jean-Luc Moreau, our founder, inherited his profound respect for timber from his grandfather, a master cabinetmaker in the Beauce region. From the sawdust-filled workshops of his youth, Jean-Luc pursued formal training in traditional joinery and contemporary design, blending ancestral techniques with innovative approaches.
After years of honing his skills under seasoned Quebecois artisans and traveling to study European woodworking traditions, Jean-Luc established Fleur-de-lis Form in the heart of Quebec City. His vision was clear: to create a studio where the whisper of history meets the precision of the present, where each cut is deliberate, and every piece tells a story of unparalleled craftsmanship and enduring beauty.
"For me, woodworking is a conversation with the material. It's about revealing the soul of the wood and transforming it into something functional, beautiful, and timeless. That's the legacy we strive to build at Fleur-de-lis Form." - Jean-Luc Moreau
